Preparation methods

All-rounder coffee that tastes really good in all preparations.
This coffee is perfect as a café crème, espresso or filter, or in summer as a cold brew.
Origin
This elegant Ethiopian highland Arabica grows in the Sidamo region, one of the most popular coffee-producing regions. It is a garden coffee from many small family farms at an altitude of 1,750 to 2,200 metres. The fruits are selectively hand-picked and the coffee is washed and dried on special platforms. This gives it a fine, elegant body and pronounced floral flavours.
Since Fairtrade certification in 2003, the cooperative is no longer dependent on private buyers and receives a minimum price for its products. The living and working conditions of the smallholder families have improved decisively.
The Fairtrade premium has also been used to finance various community projects. For example, new schools were built and scholarships for the children of the producer families were financed. Roads and warehouses have also been built and access to electricity made possible.

Roasting recommendation for Sidamo coffee
The coffee can be roasted from light (city) to darker (full city+). In the lighter roast, the fruity (peach) and floral notes are emphasized; in the darker roast, the chocolate comes to the fore.
You can find roasting profiles for this bean in the knowledge section: for Gene Café, for Hottop Manual, for Hottop with Artisan.
Packaging
The green coffee is delivered in a transparent and resealable 1kg protective bag.
