You are invited to actively participate with your own questions or answers, tips and experiences, or you can just watch - as it suits you. Frank Koss runs a nano roastery in Riehen and moderates the round, Philipp and Ingo are experts in the talk and can cover many topics with their experience when it comes to coffee roasting.
Philipp is co-managing director and shareholder of Kaffeemacher GmbH. The two-time Swiss Barista Champion manages the roastery of Kaffeemacher:innen and is responsible for green coffee purchasing and coffee projects at origin. Philipp is a licensed Q-grader and has been a judge at national and world championships for many years.
Philipp scrutinises existing processes and ideas in the coffee sector and also uses his large network for this. As a result, he has a very broad knowledge base in both theory and practice and is therefore in demand as a consultant, for input lectures and key-notes on coffee roasting. Ingo is the founder and managing director of Roast Rebels and has been an enthusiastic home roaster for years. In addition to his roasting training at the SCA, he regularly attends further training courses with roasters such as Scott Rao, Rob Hoos and Morten Münchow and is in close contact with various authors in order to keep up to date with the latest developments in roasting.
Ingo has a good overview of the home roaster scene and is in close contact with most of the manufacturers of small roasting machines (up to 1kg) as well as many of the coffee producers from whom Roast Rebels obtains its green coffees. Through the close exchange with customers, he knows many of the questions that home roasters have. Roast Rebels offers coffee roasting machines, green coffees, books and courses on home roasting: https://roastrebels.ch
