For optimal roasting, you need the most precise information possible about the bean you want to roast: What is the moisture content? What is the density value (i.e. how hard are the beans)? If you have this knowledge, you can develop a suitable roasting profile more quickly and reduce expensive roasting mistakes. 

And after roasting? Then quality control is the order of the day. Here, too, moisture content and density are important indicators, e.g. for optimal storage.

The Lighttells MD-500 Moisture & Density Analyzer uses modern sensors to measure the moisture content and density of both raw and roasted coffee beans. In addition, coffee cherries and parchment coffee can also be analysed. Measuring is quick and easy and you can easily take the portable device with you. Analysis results can be saved and shared.

The Lighttells MD-500 Moisture & Density Analyzer is suitable for professional roasters, people in coffee purchasing and quality assurance as well as ambitious home roasters.
